* Great experience dealing with you guys, I am novice shooter and your willingness to share your knowledge and advice has bee a real blessing!
* Great service, great product, great prices!
* I won't lie; I have to be a bit frugal for my loads since I'm a student and underemployed until I graduate. Cheap cast lead sounded just right for me, regardless of quality. Turns out I'm making off like a bandit; these bullets are superb and everything about this place is great! You even have the exact bullets I need to load for my Mosin-Nagants!
* Your focus on good communication and a fast response ensures an excellent customer service experience.
* Good product & great to deal with.
* First impressions go a long way.
* The service is excellent!! Quick service with great selection at a fair price!
* The only way this could get better is if I lived next door!  Thanks !  Eric from Ottawa.
*  Keep up the good work.

Wrote in an e-mail: Good afternoon Lois, Dylan here, I ordered 200 of your 245 gr. hard cast 38-55 bullets a couple weeks ago now and just wanted to say they are unreal accurate and all super consistent weights for cast bullets... absolutely love the product. 1485 fps out of my Sharps Down Under model with a 34" barrel and sitting over top of 25 grains pf H4895. At 250 yards 4 shots look like one mashed out hole on the paper. At 100 yards at first I thought only one bullet hit and all other completely missed the paper, they were that tight. Thanks again. Will definlitely be ordering more from you guys! Have a good day!

I load 9mm 38, 357, 44, 45 acp, 45 Colt, plus 30-30, 30-06 and 45-70. Have a buddy in the UK using Bullet Barn products plus club members in Ontario. I load for Cowboy action to Bullseye and hunting loads. Having a few 45-70's, it's nice having a selection of cast Bullets weights. Prompt service, speedy delivery. All around great business with wonderful owners.

Wrote in an e-mail: Finally ran out of the old stock of 45-70 bullets from a different vendor and had occasion to open a box from your "barn". Wow! Could not believe the difference in quality. The other bullets had blemishes in the head and missing lube in the grooves. In fact there was so much messed up loose lube that it took an additional hour to clean the seating/ crimping die and the cartridge prior to crimping and after finishing the reloading process. With the Bullet Barn lead, all of the grooves were full and neat. No free lube to mess up the die. Thank you again for a superior product. Definitely a satisfied customer.

It arrived as promised by courier packed as well as any major manufacturer could do and I promptly loaded one in my model 94 winchester that belonged to my grandpa. It blew through a chunk of 12 inch solid oak at 30 yards, and lodged halfway into the next one! Factory winchester ammo I know for a fact would not have made it through the first one! Awesome is all I can come up with to describe your product. Thank you Lois for your courteous replies, and your top notch product. I will and have already told many friends about your business. Please use this as a review if you like. Thanks again and looking forward to ordering from you again, Rob

Wrote in an e-mail: The verdict is out!!! At last I have had time to load up 40 of your 45-70 390gr GC bullets, "and" get out to shoot them. Loaded over 39gr of IMR 4198 at apr. 1700fps, out of an 18 1/2 barrel. They patterned at apr. 1.5 inch at 50 yards and 2 inch at 100, using Ghost Ring sights, shooting off sticks. I compared them to Hornady factory Leverevolution 325gr @ 1800fps. Same accuracy. They hit apr 1.5 inch lower than the Leverevolution. About the same kick. The telling test was penetration. Your hard cast penetrated apr 16.5 inches of solid maple. The Leverevolution, only apr 8 inch. I thought I would give you some feed back on your "GREAT" bullets. The spent bullet weighed in @ 285gr. Not bad for having passed through 16 1/2 inches of solid maple. I am going to load up the next batch to mid level power @ 43gr IMR 4189. This should drive them @ 1800. I will send in a penetration report, when I shoot them. Keep up the great work. Dave in Winnipeg

Wrote in an e-mail: Subject - Bear Stopper......  I ordered a "sample" pack of your hard cast bullets for my 45-70 marlin lever action with intention of developing a "bear stopper".  Your bullets arrived very quickly and packed very carefully, I am very impressed with the promptness and quality of service.  After testing I found a bullet that I had fired and thought you guys would like to see it.  It is a 450 grain loaded on top of 43.5 grains of reloader 10 giving about 2100 fps (I haven't verified that with a chronograph yet).  The bullet passed thru a 2" wooden backer and dug a 4 ft trench about 4" deep at the top of the berm behind it.  I found it sitting on top at the end of the trench it just dug. Overall the bullet is still very intact and retained most of its weight.  I am very confident in the terminal performance of your bullets.  Thank you for your excellent products, I will be ordering more in the near future.

I've just been told that I've won the Law Enforcement Shooting Association - Club Grand Aggregate (Duty Pistol), using YOUR bullet! I know there are less expensive bullets around and I've been given a few samples to re-load - but why mess with a good thing? Your bullets are perfect. Firm and "ballistically" correct. That's all I use in my S & W 5946 and my S & W "PPC9" Distinguished Semi-Auto.
I'm looking for a load for my Distinguished Revolver. I've always used BDX hollow base semi-wadcutter. How does your .38 cal RNFP BB measure up to the BDX? And the .38 cal SWC BB? If you could send a few samples (18 of each) along with my 9mm order, I would appreciate it. I wish you had a good baseball cap with "Bullet Barn" embroidered on the front - I'd wear it for all my matches. Thanks again for a great product - and for the Grand Ag. Trophy!

Anyhow, I just got back from a business trip combined with a visit with my daughter in Edmonton. Before leaving Edmonton, I decided to check P & D gun shop...Glad I did because I was lucky enough to find some boxes of your bullets. I picked up the 45-70 450 grain. They are fine looking bullets - you do a wonderful job!! Next time in Edmonton I'll check in again for some more supplies. I asked the people at the shop if they had any handload info for the bullets (I checked some of their reloading manuals as well) but they weren't up to speed on 45-70 loads. I ordered the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook but I suspect that it won't give me exactly what I need. Does your husband (the hunter) have any favorite loads for your 45-70 bullets? If so, would he be willing to share the handload info? I'm interested in everything from practice loads to big bear loads. I plan to build using all your bullets from 350 grain and up including your new gas check 405 grain. It really is wonderful to finally be able to buy CANADIAN. My best friend lives just a few miles north of Powell River. I don't get to visit him often, but next time I do I'll be sure to give you a phone call to see if you are in and I'll replenish my supply. Keep up the great work and thank you very much!

Wrote: Hello; I ordered some .30-30 bullets this summer. I was amazed (and delighted) at the speed of delivery. I loaded them for my wife to shoot in Cowboy Lever Rifle Silhouette matches at Rocky Mountain House. We were very pleased with the results and have since recommended your bullets to several people. I look forward to the arrival of the .45-70's. I will be using them in a Marlin 1895 Cowboy with 26" barrel to shoot in Cowboy Action Long Range Side Matches and Cowboy Lever Rifle Silhouette matches. I plan on loading them with 65 grains of Elephant FFG black powder as I have had good results in the past with this load. Will let you know how it works out with your bullets. Regards, Nelson

The 5744 patterns higher with the slg and even higher with the tlg 405's. Using the 5744 Im getting a little flaking but not much and the leading is pretty well gone. WOO HOO!! So it was the powder of all things. With the patterning being higher it would seem that the bullets are traveling quicker. Even better. And cleaning only takes 1/2 hr now rather than several!

They were loaded in winchester cases and winchester large pistol primers with Bullseye powder. Target load. Result - Excellent load and very clean, no leading, and very good groups at 100 yards. Target - eight inch metal plate. Fifty yards--even better!! Result - Very happy shooter

Wrote: Hi There: Thanks for such a speedy delivery on my order! Only took 4 days. I tried out some of the .458 405 gr. hardcast bullets (didn't load any 350's yet). Very accurate at low velocities in my Marlin 1895G 45-70. Didn't notice any leading in the barrel. Have only tried "Trapdoor" loads so far, averaging just under 1200 fps with my chrony. Would you have any cast bullet data available for the 350 gr & 405 gr. in 45-70? I'm wondering about faster loads and that these are BB rather than GC bullets. Can they be loaded to about 1800-1900fps? Looking to try hardcast bullets on Black Bears. Another question I have is; will you be casting any heavier bullets for .458 bores? Just curious due to the interest in the Cowboy shooting sports. Thanks for your time, a satisfied customer.

I bought some lead from www.thebulletbarn.com I have shot some of thier lead in other calipers and find this a good source in Canada to purchase lead. For the 45/70 they advertise the 350 gr. andas well as the 405 cast lead . I ordered a box of the 405 gr.

The mailman was all concerned because of "Bullet Barn" on the label. After I gave him a definition of "bullet", he was fine. I'll give everyone a heads-up about the Bullet Barn in our next ISL (Independent Shooting League) newsletter. Cheers, Jim
